ha ha. Next time put a - between 700 and 800. 700,800 rpm might be a TOUCH fast. Nice vid though.

If it's an aluminium head you can grind out the corrosion back to clean metal, then have it aluminium welded.. Then machine the head.. sounds like a major operation, but, it's not..... I used to do it all the time...

@sunppaa I grind my own when I use carbide ,recently been using some PCD tips for ally heads that I bought in a cnc shell mill , much nicer finish

Can you use a head with pitting at all?I am stripping one down for a M30 and I have just found some pitting and i reckon it is too deep to remove by skimming it

Hi,you can use a head with pitting ,it depends on how bad and where the pitting is,need to see it to make a decision really mate,sometimes if its in a critical place you can weld the damage then skim........
