I disagree strongly. We need to be educated.  We need to know what went on in the past, so it never repeats itself. All people need to learn of these atrocities.

First of all, I am not insulting the veterans. So far from it, I have nothing but respect for those people. But Vietnam was wrong, and US soldiers were GIVEN ORDERS to napalm bomb villages, spray Agent Orange everywhere, and shoot everyone. Court Martial my ass.

Agree that some of the veterans didn't have a choice, but they were fighting for freedom? That's not very accurate. Do you actually think that if the USA didn't invade Vietnam we wouldn't be free?

The US government didn't directly kill innocent women and children in fact they court marshaled those who did. However, Vietnam was an unconventional war and thus those men who were drafted into service were in fear for their lives and did simply what was needed. It's not right what they did but I'll be damned if you are going to call the veterans, who served our country, murderers for fighting a war they didn't want to be a part of in the first place to protect the very freedoms you and I enjoy

@ Extranormaldotcom, Have you yet forgotten that the Americans were kicked out of Vietnam ?... And, before Vietnam, it was the same "draw" against North Korea ?

"War" is nice when yuo see it in the moovies, sitting in a cosy chair... LIVING as civilian in occupied country, or fighting as soldier in the first lines, DURING the war... would give you a VERY DIFFERENT impression...
