Do horses like to be spoken to in high tones, and to be reassured so often? I was told opposite, but that doesn't mean anything. Anyone have an opinion?

Do you like to be rewarded or complimented? There is nothing wrong with a lot of praise - emphasize the positive as much as possible. The high tone is just an up beat positive tone. We do not speak the same languages as horses obviously, but they nderstand tone. They understand the difference between a positive up happy tone and a growling negative tone.

What is the little sound you are making like a little brrrr (at 2:41 is example)? What does this tell the horse? I like the sound of it.

Sorry I never got to this question. That noise is a sound I use to slow or calm. Rather than a 'whoa', which I used for a complete stop, I used that noise for a slow down, relax.
