Lol im 17 and yeah i would say a lot of highschool kids who have debit cards which most of us do order black and milds online

Cigarette sales online are not illegal, its just the USPS will not ship them to you, you have to use a private carrier, and as to your question, I think if cigarettes are going to get this treatment, I think the same should be done for alcohol. Like you said, lots of people buy alcohol illegally, and until the USPS can come up with a way to verify the age of a person, to keep it fair, the USPS should not ship alcohol either.
-
theres people breaking the law to buy ALCOHOL online too, Millions of kids underage are buying alcohol online. Why dont they make online alcohol sales illegal too?

...shipping then tobacco, so we are going to stop that, because there is no way to enforce the law. And while I do think that it is completly hypocritial that cigarettes and smokeless tobacco are subject to this act, but cigars aren't, and the federal governement's unending quest to squeeze every last tax dollars out of people is wrong, you shouldn't demonize this act as the worst thing ever, because it was trying to enforce the law, albeit in a overhanded way and should probably be repealed,

...and just so you know, I think that restrictions on tobacco advertising and where they can be sold are illegal because they are against the first amendment right to free speech. But I don't think laws saying that you have to be a certain age to buy something are unconstitutional, because there is no prohibition of those laws in the constitution and they have been around for ever. This act is the government basically saying that there is no way for the USPS to verify a person's age when...

When did I say it had to be a stolen credit card, I had a debit card long before I was 18. Mabey you are right, I didn't phrase what I was saying correctly. But before the PACT act, even though I don't have concrete evidence for it, I'm sure many a person below the age of 18 bought tobacco online, as well as other things that require you to be 18 to buy, such as alchohol. That doesn't make it right. This act was the government's overly heavy handed response to try to stop that...

Darcy is right...this bs. but what are you gonna do? stock up on snus now!
Before this act, there was no way for a shipper to verify the age of a person buying tobacco online, a ten year old kid with a credit or debit card could, and did. I'm sorry that this affected people that were buying tobacco legally, but there was alot of people who were breaking the law.

@skip8619 I would like to know of where you got this info and what your source is. There are many things you can purchase online that are for people above the age of 18, such as porn, wine and tobacco. So are you saying that we should then limit the availability of all this due to one or two stupid acts that may or may not have actually happened. Please do provide me with this information about some kid who purchased tobacco with a stolen credit card. More govt control is what this amounts to.

Jon, I heard that Cigars are immune to PACT ACT. Any truth to that? We would not want to deprive our fat cat senators and congressmen from their Cohiba's

@PaulPMiller Yes that is correct, cigars are not included in this bill. How ironic I know.

Jon, great video and it clarifies a lot.
Being in the EU i have always paid tax on Snus we have VAT (sales tax) and I pay Swedish Tobacco Tax.
If I import American Snuff I dont pay american tax but if I order over a certain amount I pay import duty.
That being said even with VAT and Swedish Tax (which just went up considerably last month) Snus is still cheaper than cigarettes and overall I save a lot of money compared to my smoking habit 2yrs ago.

@snusify Thank you for the response to my video. I would agree that this seems to mirror what many in the EU are doing for snus. Seems that its just going to cost a bit more. Nothing to freak out about. Still will be available.
