if i am not wrong i think that like jeffry hammond martin was allso a member of the band from the start as a friend of ian but as jeffrey he came to play a little late.. but he was around from the start.

Martin came in on their second album - Stand Up. Mick Abrahams was the original Tull guitarist. Cheers.
