Home-made Mayo is one of those indescribable culinary pleasures. If you have a stick blender or regular blender, you CAN make your own mayo! So much cheaper, AND way more delicious, you must give this a try.

I can't believe this works! I spent 45 minutes dripping oil into my food processor, only to have the emulsion break when I had half of the oil added. It infuriated me. Then I found this video and I thought - I'll try this, but if it doesn't work, my home-made mayo career is over. It worked. 2 minutes. Perfect mayo. I'm so happy!

No Wesley, mayonnaise is not an instrument. Horseradish is not an instrument either.

I used my Bamix (an immersion blender made in Switzerland) and extra light olive oil. It didn't work. Possibly because the egg yolks were cold. It tasted amazing though ! I discarded it, never thinking I could have used it as a salad dressing or marinade !! Good idea, whoever posted that ! Made this years ago with my cuisinart food processor & it was perfect.

Yep, you have to use two more egg yolks, but you need to bring that mayo back to room temp. There's a website explaining it: It's at kelly the kitchen cop dot com, then just search for mayo. Good luck!

Must be the blender. Tried it twice and didn't come together.

Nooooo don't put that canola garbage in there. Might as well get store bought then. Use olive oil.

If it fails (or I fail by going too fast) is there any way to save it?
