In a remarkable feature-film debut, Ernesto Contreras explores solitude and the quest for love.
Marina (Cecilia Suárez), a factory worker, one day wins an all-expense-paid beach paradise trip for two from her employer. Unfortunately she has no-one to invite as her guest. So she decides to ask Victor (Enrique Arreola), a complete stranger...
Featuring the Ray Davies track 'This Strange Effect', performed by Dave Berry, and set in a modern Mexican megalopolis, the film showcases wonderful performances by Cecilia Suárez and Enrique Arreola. Beautifully poignant and blackly comic, BLUE EYELIDS (PARPADOS AZULES) is a strikingly original debut from a director to watch.
"Beautifully acted, imaginatively directed... this funny, touching movie is a treat."

I must say the actors do such a convincing and fabulous in portraying the personalities of the main characters... lol
I totally felt awkward for them (the characters)... But it must be seen in order to understand what I mean
Good movie, love the actors
