Venom Bottle Alcohol Burner/Stove

This is the 4th model of alcohol burner/stove I made using the bottoms of 2 Venom aluminum bottles. This one worked the best of the 4 but still needs some alterations. I'm going to drill another set of burner holes. I think that will improve the lighting of the stove. It can be a little stubborn.

Why not fill the top recess of the stove up and light that instead? Surely it would eventually catch onto any escaping fumes.

@MorkaGraven That was how it was supposed to work but it just wouldn't get hot enough to start the fuel vaporization.

yeah, what's on the top of the lip of the can? How was that done?

@ItalysBadBoy The band on the can is one of those silicone Livestrong bracelets. It is there to keep someone from burning their lip on the pot if they drink directly from it. It must be silicone, the rubber ones will melt.

Wrap the sides in fg wick like a minibulldesign atomic

You might want to try a t light candle under the stove. that way it is more like a pressure type stove . Smaller holes will really boost your heat output. Also it will use less fuel and the stove will light much better. I like the stove as is but try this i think you will be happy.

what is around the top of your can? and what do you use for a lid?
