The thing is when you only had 4 channels back in the 80's you tend to remember all the good adverts however 30 years on and with over a 1000 tv channels it all becomes a blur and especially as you can sky plus/tivo everything and fast forward through all the commercials!

@jackjude My own expression would be quite incredulous, too. As I said though I haven't seen the range since the 80s - remember it needed two, with a mound of my late mother's delicious chips, to make any kind of meal.

@julesthemadman I thought the range was still about. "Measly" is indeed an apt description. If somebody dared to serve me one of these at a steakhouse'; my expression would virtually speak; "Hold on garcon, I'm the one that eats trois round 'ere!"

I think I would have been seriously cheesed off if all I got with one of those measly little grills was a couple of fried onion rings.... Good ad though. Whatever happened to Steakhouse? They had a brief vogue but didn't I think last long...
