This video shows our ASL Flash Mob performance of U2's Beautiful Day on 9/22/10 at Fresno State University.
This project was intended to call attention to Deaf Awareness Week. Participants involved included staff of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Service Center, Inc., Board, FSU ASL Club members, and Deaf community members as well.
In the spirit of Flash Mobs, the performance was not announced in advance.
We thank everyone involved for making this possible, including U2 for such an incredible song.
There are thousands of ways this song can be interpreted into ASL. Ours is just one version we came up with, a balance of both literal interpretations of the original lyrics and conceptual interpretations. We hope you enjoy the balance we finalized on.
This song is for everyone- it's a call to overcome those barriers that are imposed on you, both real and perceived. We believe these barriers can be overcome.

Closed-captions will be added as soon as possible. Thanks!
