What's wrong with taking video games too seriously? You say that as if it's a bad thing. It's a profession, a job, a way of life.

Take South Korea for example. They have TV networks dedicated to Starcraft. SC's gotten so big, it became a spectator sport for people who's never even played SC but know so much about it through watching. They have SC teams of like 15 guys around 15-26 of age living in the same house training 10 hours a day. They drop out of school to dedicate more time into it.

I don't know about the drop out of school part. 90% of the gamers in the Empire are either in school still or finished school altogether. Players like Justin, Arturo, Red, Kreymore, etc are all in school. TriForce finished 10 years ago.

I do miss playing 6 hours a day but life and my job took over, I just got the pc version of SF4, B4 that I was going to an arcade here in Toronto Canada maybe once a month to play the game and getting my ass handed to me because of lack of time on the game, Pro players if you have the skills and cash is offered take it., as long as you keep the community growing.

@SJCageProductions The glove has nothing to do with it (it's actually a good marketing tool). It's the fact that he has poor execution when it comes to marketing his "company". The EMP page is full "home videos" of irrelavant and foolish shit (that bleach skit). Meanwhile you have Gootecks with Cross Counter putting up high quality vid/news on a weekly basis. Eversince Wong left he, it seems no other player gives a fuck to put themeselves out there. The KOC documentary made him look like a crook

EMP wouldn't be such a laughing stock if they at least tried to look more appealing to the public. Their youtube page is full of "home video-like" vids of random shit. They barley post up tutorials and their current roster seem so anti-social in front of the cameras. I'm sick of everyone hating on not only this, but the gaming world in general. People say it's pathetic on taking video games so seriously. I could say the same thing about the sporting world. You have such passionate fans in sports like soccer, where people start beating the shit out of each other when their team starts to lose. That's a bit pathetic to me. Everyone has something, a hobby, a way of life. For some it's sport, for others it's videogames. We're all passiontae about something.
