@LaminatedGardenGuide Mounds are also "double reach" so that you can plant & harvest from both sides, you won't compact the soil and never have to dig once it's established. Between crops, you can fence it off temporarily and let chickens weed, aerate, fertilize and get rid of any pests while feeding them to produce your eggs. And you get better drainage too.

We have recently started to use old tractor tires as garden boxes. We get them for free and they work fantastic. Great job here growing your own food.

This is very good. Do you grow succulents?

You could tie that center post to the fence with a piece of rope to reinforce it a little bit.

unfortunately iron rusts, and water accelerate oxidization.

if you're looking for the cheapest and easiest way to do raised beds and you have the room for it, then raised bed mounds are the way to go!
Raised bed garden mounds have all the same benefits of framed beds, but with now cost for materials. You simply create raised beds without the box.
