I built this 1/35 scale custom Humvee based on Sgt. Brad Colbet's "Hitman 2-1" Humvee from teh HBO series "Generation Kill".

This is a 1/35 scale replica of the lead Humvee of Bravo Company - 2nd Platoon of the Marine 1st Reconnaissance Battalion during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The company call sign was "Hitman", thus designating the lead Humvee as "Hitman 2-1". This build was inspired and modeled after the 2008 HBO mini series Generation Kill, which is based on the book of the same name written by Evan Wright that outlines his experiences while embedded with Bravo Company. The figures in the vehicle represent:
Sgt. Brad Colbert - Passenger Front
Cpl. Josh Ray Person - Driver
LCpl. James Trombley - Driver Rear
Cpl. Walt Hasser - Turret Gunner
Evan Wright (reporter) - Passenger Rear

The base model is a Tamiya M-1025 Humvee and an additional ten model kits, along with photo etch, lead foil, modeling clay, custom decals and brass stock were required to accurately complete and depict Bravo Company's lead Humvee. Custom details include hand made MOPP suit hoods, customized weapons (M249 Para and Sgt. Colbert's M4 with M203 and AN/PVS-17), Blue Force Tracker, camo netting rolls and 'Elvis' sunglasses on Cpl. Person.

The background radio chatter is actual radio communication recordings from the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion during the 2003 invasion. I installed a set of mini powered speakers an a micro 1GB MP3 player into the base that play the recordings in a loop.

More details and pictures of the build from start to finsh can be found on the Armorama Forum here: http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=in...

  • holy shit do you sell them?

  • @iliket0bike Sorry, but this is a one-off custom built 1/35 model and the price I'd have to charge you for it would be very high!
