  • She has some good points, but some of this sounds extremely cliche and watered down. Witchcraft originated in paganism, and anyone who says that pagans didn't fear and recognise death has no right teaching about Samhain (or Nos Galan Gaeav in Welsh). Hell yeah Samhain was about death and evil. That existed in pagan beliefs, and it exsists now. Anyone who says that demons and devils and evil where made up by Christians is biased and unschooled in the history of religion....

  • @AimeeHalloway23 I know that Goddess worship has been around a long time. I speak only to Witchcraft. I do not teach other belief systems. But I know my path pretty well and I assure you we do not have demons, we do not fear death and we certainly have nothing to do with the Christians demons that are so often thrust upon us. They have never been part of out belief system. The Evil I see seems to come from humans acting for greed, power, dogma or fear, the demons seem amateurs in comparison.

  • The Roman Catholic Church adopted all European festivals and feasts and changed the names in an effort to convert the world...THEY ARE NOT TRUE CHRISTIANITY!! Please do not confuse the RCC with Protestants or born again believers of Jesus by faith alone!!!! Salvation is found only in Jesus by faith ALONE; simply believe that he shed his blood for you to pay for your sins; repent and receive him into your heart as your personal Saviour.

  • @Christ4Life316 t seems there is a lot of dissent amongst the followers of Jesus then, with more than a few trying to kill all non believers and at the very least associate non Christians with evil or sin. Wherever the confusion comes from, you all should work it our amongst yourselves first, before trying to make us believe one way of the other. Co-existing in peace would be a good first step, let us see if your Christians can do that for a while and we can talk later.

  • Druidism is pre-Christian, Wicca is not, Sorry but your religion has nothing to do with Druidism or early Britannic paganism, You may like to act like your religion has ancient ties, but it does not.

    Sorry.

  • It is for this reason that I have difficulty with the unqualified use of the term Wicca or Wiccan. I am sure you do not mean to imply that Witches and Witchcraft are a new thing. History traces us back to pre-Celtic times though mostly Indo_European in origin.

  • I think We should all be kind to one another Lady cabot is teaching us and is not trying to offend anyone. I am honored to learn from her.

  • @JacobDanielRay I would do the same (I'm a Celtic Shamanic practitioner), though I don't live anywhere near Arizona :)

  • she is absolutely correct!

  • There is a Witches Ball coming around in Arizona in Oct.21. If I were to dress as the Green Man, would you find that offensive? I am a Druid and or Celtic Pagan, but I do support other groups like the witches.

  • I wish I lived in Salem so I could be taken under your wing.

  • Its best to dress yourself with your desires on your birthday. Afterall, your birthday is your new year. Its kind of like dressing a so-called "Christmas" Tree. A Tree that never dies and lives on even during the coldest days... Halloween falls under Scorpio which the God of the Dead (Pluto) rules. You are right, it is a time to show those passed that they are still remembered and loved.

  • Laurie your awesome

  • I wore red because from my understanding it stood for Elemental fire, deities of love, passion, sexuality, Courage, will-power, determination, health, sexual attraction and potency, love and passion, fertility. I refused to wear the traditional color of white that most religions use. So if I'm wrong please let me know. Could you give good reference places for my husband and I to practice. Many blessings to you.
