I stopped by just to see if she was singing the solo herself or whether it was a member of the choir. The lady can sing!
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, 4 praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, 5 praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.
Stacy, I'll go one step farther (in agreement with you) and refer to Torah. Devarim (Deut) 19:15-19 So, it would seem that unless R" Carlebach speaks from beyond the grave, nobody can confirm or deny his thoughts on this, thus we cannot convict Neshama of any shame. If we cannot confirm or deny a thing and speak it anyway, is that not a form of lashon hara?
I'll go a step further and say that I absolutely have no doubt R'Shlomo is in Shamaym smiling at his 'Neshama' , unlike the comments below To chaimwert and psycho29analyst I ask, 'Did you know that R' Shlomo performed for Pope John Paul II !! So, if you have a problem with this video, then have the balls to say why, and don't go as low as to dare to imagine R' Shlomo's thoughts , that he would possibly not be proud of his daughter.
thus, R'Shlomo crossed boundaries in that his songs reach the ultra orthodox,, the modern orthodox, conservative, reform, conservadox, missionary...what ever you want. Now, Neshama could not possibly enter the Ultra Orthodox circles because she is a female singer. Thus, she has reached modern orthodox, conservative, reform, and she has added on this form which appears to be almost chuch like. But, I bet there were Jews in that audience, and she is singing about the joy of Jewish festivals.
Wait, I thought HIR was orthodox. I guess not, since they have a woman singing live.

I say R' Shlomo would be proud of Neshama, as long as she is true to herself.

R' Shlomo's neshama in Shomayim is in pain over the "neshama" he left in this world.
There is nothing Jewish about this party.
