Henry Louis Gates 911 call released

A police sergeant who responded to a 911 call about a possible break-in at the home of black Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. can be heard calling Gates uncooperative during a radio communication with a police dispatcher.

Sgt. James Crowley said he was with a man who claims to live in the house and with identification showing he was Gates. Crowley said the man was not cooperating and told the dispatcher to "keep the cars coming."

Another voice can be heard in the background of the transmissions, but it is unintelligible and unclear if it is Gates.

when you act based on a predjudice you are being racist. crowley was ticked off b/c his ego was bruised. i don't know whether or not he is racist but gates should never have been arrested. if you see the guy's id and it proves that it is his house LEAVE. end of story.

The Police acted properly and correctly when dealing with this hostile individual. They had no choice and had to arrest this unruly person. Mr. Gates is a racist, along with President Obama.

Why am I getting angry at a Man Eating Lion for trying to eat me? What nobody talks about is there is a HUGE difference between the word "racism" and the word "prejudice". I mean WTF do they always use that word? Racism is the belief that one race is inferior to another. Nazis, the KKK, that is racism. Prejudice is forming an opinion on past experience. Man when you go into a home 99.9 % of the time you do not break a screen door to get into the home.People forget keys but I hope that my community will call the police if I am not entering my home in the usualfashion.How embarassing for Obama to have to deal with childlike behaviour.And the incident may have been inflamed by the cops but they do it to me ALL the time to me black cops have lied about me and a black officer lied about me on a witness stand.Its the cops tht are full of baloneyt .
