Check out Justin Ortiz as he throws punches with Rochesters Willie Monroe Jr.Willie is a 22 year old School of the Arts grad, and he has jabbed, ducked, and punched his way into professional boxing. His boxing experience began at the age of six, being trained by his Grandfather. Willie attributes his success in the ring to his work ethic and tenacity and says that the key to his success is the countless hours that he puts in at the gym. Currently Willie holds a record of five wins and zero loses and looks to continue the winning trend. On the business side his company Team Monroe does the job of promoting him as a fighter and making sure that every fight is a move that is in the best interest of this young mans career. His team of lawyers and managers help him to navigate the sometimes murky waters of the boxing world. Aside from being a winner in the ring Willie is a winner in the community as well! When he has free time he uses it to help youngsters train at the Right Move Boxing program. There he stresses not just making the right move in the ring, but outside of the ring as well. Willie stresses the importance of education to the young boxers as well as good citizenship.
