no the redsnow is good, i tried it with redsnow 0.7.1 and 0.7.2 and 0.8

Hmm, that's strange, I jailbroke my iPod using redsnow too, and it's also an iTouch 2g. It may be something to do with Vista, or the redsnow you downloaded is corrupted.

great vid but redsnow does not work to jailbreak my ipod touch 2g. when i open redsnow I search the right firmware and click next, then it sais connecting to serevr and then redsnow shuts down. I run Vista, Please help me!
