  • goulash :) always good :) travelers, do not forget to have fishermen soup, bean soup, goose liver and stuffed cabbage if you are in Budapest ..... all are equally good.

  • Gulash like some other Hungarian dishes evolved to be prepared by herdsmen or fishermen using very simple technology. What they had was plenty of time, spices, a single kettle, open fire and patience. Actually, cooking was left to the young underdog. Quite amazing that our young species has been so interested in experimenting with such a variety of food everywhre on our planet.

    I am Hungarian, I do love Hungarian food, but I am not proud of it, simply imprinted to it :-)
