how long did it take you to come up with the wiring?

@tobias15er The wiring is rather simple. Just a clock-generator -> pulse-shortener -> serially connected pistons. Building the wiring took longer than it would to actually just build the house manually.

would a faster clock work to make this self repair quicker?

@elistonium It's currently using a 4 or 5 clock thing, which is basically the shortest you can make easily. The issue now, besides pistons bugging out alot with redstone, is making it spawn a block of cobble on every push. Lavathing is slow. I tried a few designs with varying success.

You can always test out a 2clock with repeaters?, That way there are no redstone torches to 'fizz out'. The only propblem is with an inverter.

@Uberubert99 perhaps having a redundancy of cobble generators would work.

Also for clocks, the fastest I have found is a super unstable 2 clock.
