Israeli IDF Field Hospital Established in Haiti

The IDF delegation sent to assist earthquake victims in Haiti, settled on the island and built a medical facility on a football field to assist casualties of the collapsed UN headquarters in the capital Port-au-Prince. Search and Rescue teams are already searching the city in an effort to find survivors in the rubble.

@titowasagoodman1980 by the fact we were forced out, we have the right to return.

the arabs lived under occupation for as long as they exist. why when jews came and offered them to live with equal rights in a jewish state they refused?

we are not asking to displace them, but to live where they do.

jews came from all over the world, including jews who lived in israel before the exile. we want them to have equal rights or even their own state, we are not opposing them.

Since when do Europeans who calm to come from the holy land have any right to it.....They do own it by virtue of them living there and being born there...as do many Israelis.....More ridiculous is the calm that people who haven't lived somewhere for a thousand years have a right to displace people who have....and its easy to compare Apartheid and Israel......both people come from europe, both are white and both oppress people who oppose them

@titowasagoodman1980 1) arabs can't get their lands back since they never owned them. they were occupied by empires since they became a nation (which some people claim it was 6000 years ago, and some 60 years ago). they never resisted. we are not trying to move them out, only to live there peacefully.

2)israel is not a jewish state bu the state of the jews. it always was since the exodus and it always will be.

3) comparing israel with the Apartheid is like comparing a car to a tree.

@kidi1232 I believe that Israel should exists, but not as a Jewish state exclusively......if you want that to be the case, why not have Israel exist in Europe??

Israel is a liability for the United States and her allies; When Israel behaves recklessly, it hurts America....as an American, I don't think the wishes of a few right-wing Israelis is worth the loss of our interests!!!

@kidi1232 It's funny how most of the world, by the 1980s, was against the Apartheid regime in South Africa because it maintained a cruel, brutal system in order to create an environment for White South Africans similar to the goals aspired to by Jews in the holy land...yet no one in power seriously opposes Israel. It's also funny that Israel supported Apartheid and that both systems were founded in 1948....hahaaha!!!

@kidi1232 Of course the Palestinians would try and get back at Israel...in the same manner that Israel uses collective punishment against them. There's evil and wrong doing on both sides, and to the same degree as well.....a suicide bomber isn't more of a savage because he blows himself up! This all goes back to the fact that Israelis don't want Muslims living in Israel because they feel that too many of them would tarnish Israel's "Jewish Character" (I doubt they have any)....

@titowasagoodman1980 yeah, that might make us a "light unto the nations", but it will probably be the last thing we will ever do because of the weapons iran will send to the palastinians.

you see, we do allow aids into gaza through the land gates (because that is the only way we can scan and inspect the goods). and egypt does the same (they actually completely opened the border gate there).

we do remove settlers from the west bank, sometimes by force (look in youtube for "Amona Israel").

If the Israelis wanted to show their moral and spiritual righteousness to the world, if they wanted to be "a light unto the nations", they would lift the stranglehold on Gaza, allow total freedom of movement for the Palestinians, forcibly remove all settlers from the west bank and withdraw to 1948 borders...or they could just make Palestinians Israeli citizens, develop the occupied territories to Israeli standards and apologize to Palestine at the U.N headquarters in front of the assembly!

I think its very hypocritical of the Israelis to try and showcase their humanitarianism in Haiti. For the last 60+ years, Israel has created a humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian territories which has led to the needless death of thousands....pregnant women have stillborn babies at Israeli checkpoints because there not allowed to use Israeli roads.....and then you have those same kind of people flying thousands of miles to save Haitians just for the sake of public image.
