There was an airliner spin-off considered for the B-17. Different fuselage, but the same wings, engines and tail surfaces. That's what this appears to be.

multiplex Cargo plane was cool, wish they still sold them.
Shame to pay $100 for 50 cents of foam.
Multiplex and other manufactures should give 3 models for $100. Foam is inexpensive.

That is a multiplex Cargo plane. Discontinued a couple of years ago, lots of people had fun converting theirs to look like B-17s since the wings and tail were already like B-17s. That's how my B-17 was made (see my video on R/C Sentimental Journey). That said, NO modifications have been done to THIS multiplex Cargo, making it indeed NOT a B-17.
