Trevor in Australia asked for a quick workshop on the basic frailing strum, so I go over that and work it into the old song Red River Valley.

  • You are fantastic teacher .. what a gift!! =)

  • dude are you really in crisfeild

  • Are you doing more than just the standard frailing as shown in your first frailing lesson? It sounds so much 'fuller' than when i play it.

  • I have 6 months under my belt, you got me started on the frail, muchos gracias, love ya bro, god bless!

  • wow thank you so much! ive been doing it all wrong!!!!!!

  • Great stuff!!thank you very much Patrick...

you are such a natural player..Do you have any cd's of your playing?

could you tell us about yourself and where you live

it sounds like a great place.

I play in a Rock Band over here..here is my band...

i know its not your sort of stuff but you might get a laugh...thanks again..Trevor

go to youtube and type in The Strikers- School Days

i'm the one in the white shirt

  • I agree with McMillan753 you are a great teacher and I love your videos. But I am having problems with the downstrike on a single string. I like striking the 3rd and 4th strings but I can't seem to get any volume out of that 4th string if I even hit it in the first place. Also, how does the frailing strum work in 3/4 or anything other than 4/4?

  • Best lesson yet Patrick.Ive been follwing your song of the day for weeks now, working on the 'hit' 'strum' and 'pop' Its HARD man, yet you make it look so simple, thank you for every time you patiently rerun your lesson.WHEN I learn this frail it will be thanks to you and a few minutes formal frailing each day. Many many thanks, have a great day.Greetings from Scotland,Mac
