So on Presidents Day weekend I got up extra early to get some footage. Walking around I met up with my Yard Waste driver and had a small conversation with him. This time he was driving a new truck (technically not new its about a year old) and I asked him New truck? he said yeah new truck everyones got new trucks now that those Natural gas trucks are in service they're going to cut the older trucks like my old one he said. I was dissapointed not knowing that I wasn't going to see the old trucks anymore

Walking back to my house I ran into an old Pacific Waste truck doing recycle. So basically it was a suprise for me because I was waiting for a new truck to pop out of anywhere. So I tooks some shots of him and man was he fast! I had to sprint to keep up with him.
When I thought about it, it was weird because the week earlier another old Pacific Waste truck did this area.
This guy was totally a sub, never seen him before

Wish I got more knowing that they will be all gone soon, oh well.

  • @WMmaster626 no he had picked it up and backed up to make room for the other driver

  • Hey dude, this is my favorite AW vid on youtube btw. and I love the rehrigs in the vid. And did he skip the bin at 2:48?

  • @GodOfSwat yes Allied did purchase BFI back in the 90's but according to some viewers they say that pacific was a division of Allied Waste. they kept the Laidlaw colors for quite some time until going with the company name. changed the name and thus pacific waste was born. just like Allied is a division of Republic

  • very nice video! allied waste purchased BFi and Pacific

  • @AlliedWaste76 i'm not the real rehrig lover, but I have to tell you those rehrigs are awesome. those and the chunky squared ones. love the black lid and then the blue bin. Thanks!!

  • 1:33 that Rehrig is my favorite cart of all time if i could buy that cart i would and awsome Pacific/allied Waste curotto can Wittke FL loved those trucks

  • @Trashman242 yeah I actually found him again, but he wasn't flipping lids that time. He was late for his collection, he was an hour late so I guess he was trying to hurry up! It turns out hes the sub for my recycle driver, or one of my recycle drivers! its because my normal recycle driver is always out! I never have subs in the yard waste its funny! Trash, once on a blue moon but yard waste never!

    I'm glad you enjoyed!

  • Whoa that is a BEAUTIFUL looking truck, love those wheels like you can see at 0:56! Flipping lids, yay!!!

1:43 was great :D That's the kind of service you *don't* get with ASLs like we have up here...that driver was cool as hell haha I hope you find him again. I think 2:39 was the first time we've seen one of the new Mcneilus FLs with sound!!

This vid was TOTALLY a fav, I agree with 243, best Curotto vid so far. Keep it up man

  • Cool to see the older Pacific trucks still in the fleet. Thanks for posting!
