Do u have the call of Dean's Grand Slam against Bama??? I love listening to college radio sports and absolutely LOVE Jim Hawthorne. I pattern some of my baseball calls after him as I work on being an announcer

he made it sound like a routine fly at first....then he throws in "well hit, well hit, WELL HIT...THAT'S OFF THE WALL." Jesus, I was in my car going, "Damn, that's 2 outs," until he started freaking out.

Also don't forget he's broadcasted both football national title games as well as the men's b-ball run a few yrs ago
So overall id say he's one of luckiest in all of college sports

Jim Hawthorne is definitely the luckiest baseball broadcaster in college baseball. He's called all five national titles with some outstanding finishes.
