The bells of Sacred Heart Church, Bournemouth being rung for two touches and then rung down. Video produced by webcam situated in the belfry, relayed via domestic router to GNU/Linux laptop recording with VLC.
The bell in the left background is the tenor (3.5 cwt); to its right the edge of the wheel of the treble can just be seen. No. 2 is out of camera; no. 3's wheel is just visible on the right. No. 4 is in the mid foreground and No. 5 to the left.
The bells are equipped with sprung steel stays, so they tend to "nod" a little when stood.
There is no audio track.
They sound very well to me. A visiting band some time ago arrived with the attitude that such a light ring would be an anti-climax, but were absolutely charmed by them.
As to the bourdon, this is on the level above the ring of six. It is hung for full circle ringing, though without a stay. As well as being struck by an electric hammer mechanism for the Angelus at 12pm and 6pm, it is swung for about 5 minutes before most Masses - we typically swing it through about 90 degrees.

Aah. I rang a 4cwt tenor with a sprung steel stay, and found, when pulling off, it was very deeply set.
Where is the Bordon bell. is it hung for ringing?
I bet the bells are a fine set.

Yes, well spotted. All but the tenor have sprung steel stays.

Is that a steel stay on the 4th?
