Kemper Profiling Amp test: amplifier and cabinet settings

This test is oriented just for guitarist interested in all parameters of amp and cabinet for the KPA. For guarantee a constant playing i record into a Digitech looper a riff with my strat, and this phrase will go on and on for all vid (for this reason i said it's not for all, can result boring for anyone else). This give opportunity to ear any knob with their exact influence. It must be said that some value have big influence on some kind of tones and not much in others, so the overall balance can change and some knob here seem to be not so effective (maybe in an hi gain profile situation can be opposite).

I start at first with amp "common" values, so gain that is the most incredible setting in all the KPA. Can push any tone of any amp to crystal clear to total melt distortion, respecting the inner character of their tone. This tone was born very clear but can be transformed to crunchy and fat and creamy saturated one. Then i use the four eq knobs; it's total neutral and transparent, so it change bass mid and highs without changing too much the profiled amp nature.

Second part of vid try inner knobs of the amp. Any value have a deep influence in the tone response or dynamic. More evident is the picking value, that can set in any tone the amount of attack (even on hi distortion ones). Other values seem less evident in listening, but not so in playing, it can change deeply the overall reaction of the amp. Different gain, amps and styles can emphasize any value in a different ways.

Third part is the cab emulation, or to be more precise the cab extraction as KPA profile all whole part togheter and then distinguish cab from the rest. Even a little rotation do a huge difference in tone, any speaker has a different tone and can be deeply changed. Quite impressing.

@MbM20100 figurati, è che sono un po impegnato ora per dedicarmi a YouTube ma sto trovando dei suoni che oserei dire meravigliosi. Girano già decine (per non dire centinaia, numero più attendibile) di profili tra utenti, anche se l'abbacinante quantità confonde perché alla fine i suoni davvero galattici sono un paio e vanno tarati su misura per chitarrista e mano come un vero setup. specialmente i singoli non li ho mai sentiti suonare così reattivi e ruvidi su nessun'altra cosa

@Maurizio70GilmourFan o recuperi al volo tutti i suoni che vuoi, che io sto catalogando sul computer. o ti fai un backup dei suoni che ti interessano. la modalità perform è pensata per le esibizioni, quindi sceglierai solo i suoni che davvero ti servono nell'ordine che ti aggrada, però al momento non è ancora stata abilitata. tuttavia il futuro diciamo che è sicuramente roseo, ma per quello basta suonarci una mezz'oretta per non aver dubbi :) ciao!

@Maurizio70GilmourFan Tienimi aggiornato :) Senti, anche se non lo so se è solo per i possessori di Kemper (mi sa che ti chiede il numero di serie quando ti iscrivi, ma non son sicuro sia un campo indispensabile) puoi iscriverti al forum dal sito ufficiale, è pieno di discussioni e magari ti fai una idea più precisa. Andare la e vedere che uno posta il profilo del suo Conford, un altro del suo Vox degli anni 70 e un altro ancora di un Mesa Mark V fa un certo effetto, ed è così tutti i giorni!

@olert83 mmmm no, when you use a plugin on a daw just the clean guitar will be recorded and with that the amp and the effect will be processed. Your session will be recorded, not the tone of the guitar, so you can change everything. This is like a real amp, so you can't. You should record the clean guitar if you've a serious audio card and the route into Kemper and then back to the audio card, but i'm not sure all those routing decrease the quality of the signal

Tuttavia io sono sicuro che appena sul fronte software implementeranno tutte le funzioni, si dedicheranno ad aumentare il parco effetti che ripeto conta comunque già ora qualche decina di soluzioni. I profili sili 4kb esatti e se ho ben capito ha 64MB come memoria disponibile, quindi fatti due calcoli... io sto solo cancellando suoni, perché ne ho già svariate centinaia e mi ci perdo (e siamo solo all'inizio). e cmq con una chiavetta usb ti salvi

@Maurizio70GilmourFan tieni conto che puoi anche usare dei veri pedali prima in modo del tutto realistico, quindi se hai già il tuo "effetto del cuore" ce lo metti e via. Comunque sia sono tutti di alto livello. Le modulazioni, sebbene non in numero esorbitante, sono tutte molto buone sia le "analogiche" che quelle da studio. Ho un Nova System della TC e non ho dubbi che il KPA abbia modulazioni superiori. Come delay e riverberi, qualità altissima ma qualcosa in più la metterei (manca uno spring
