"Obie" is an exceptional young show prospect; gorgeous, very nice mover, great work ethic and excellent ground manners. He is very good-minded, trusting and loves attention. He was started under saddle when he turned 3 years old and prior to that had been through 5 months of solid ground work and lunge line training. Obie has been in consistent, professional training for the past five months and has been ridden 5 to 6 days a week. He has smooth, comfortable gaits with solid walk/trot/canter. He has been ridden both indoors and outdoors; in outdoor arenas with traffic nearby with no problems. He has not been ridden on trails but was introduced to them during ground training. He is not spooky and when introduced to new things he learns to trust quickly. He ties, clips, bathes, loads and stands for farrier; has always been sound with no health concerns. He has excellent feet, is up-to-date on vaccinations and has always been routinely wormed. His sire is Ate van der M, who has received USDF & USEF "Horse of the Year" recognition. He is a National Champion in: DSH Friesian In-Hand Stallion, 3rd Level Dressage, USDF Musical Freestyle; English Pleasure Hunt Seat. World Champion: Friesian Sr. Stallions; Friesian Dressage Hack; English Pleasure Hunt Seat. Sire is currently schooling 4th Level Dressage.
