Artist: The Sundays
Title: On Earth
CD: Blind

Lyrics:
And she's walking on the edge of a knife
And she knows it's the death of her
Sarah you live and you learn you're invisible
And she's walking on the edge of a crowd
Late at night you can never tell

Town from town
Sounds of England swallow you down
Makes you want to laugh
Could a heaven on Earth be ours here & now?

And she says what's in my palm?

Read between the lines
Give me something to savour
Can you do that? 'cause I'll believe anything

And I say
When you're hoping for some more from your life
Shouldn't wonder you've had enough
And in my town
Sounds of England swallow you down
And a heaven on Earth is all ours but not now
I tell you when a heaven on Earth is all ours
Come on down.

  • @StabbyMcButterPants You are so right about that, Sundays are what Enya wish they were.

  • I've often wondered why their music hasn't been used in many movie soundtracks. They ARE total mood music. Their makes takes your soul to a different place every time. As soon as I hear their music, I'm off in a different world. They're just magic like that. :)

  • Favorite part: "And she says, "What's in my palm? ... Read between the lines

Give me something to savor ... Can you do that? ... 'Cause I'll believe anything" Terribly crushing and utterly melodic to my ears and heart!

  • I remember when I used to listen to this cd over and over again on my way from Watertown NY to UMaine to attend graduate school. Purely cathartic....man, I miss those drives!

  • Check out an early version of this song, live in 1990, go to my channel!

  • and not to forget HOPE : ))

  • thank you god for the sundays i dont know where i would be without them, always when i feel no hope i hear there music and it gives me what i need comfort, clarity, feelings : )))))

  • Definitely one of Harriet's best songs. I hate myself for not making a better effort to see them during their last tour.
