part of our senses is visual, then there is smell, and finally taste. if it looks like crap you just lost 1\3 of the battle of preparing a wonderful dish for your family, friends or customers. if your going to plate lousy looking food you might as well go to a soup kitchen.

But what about repeating textures? The first dish looks kinda like the fish buried underneath crumbly pieces of the bean salad and salsa on top...
