even the outside setting in korea were high up at least they have a brain to choose where to hit . i wonder the european never changed to way to think in volleyball and always always blind hitting.
talkin about Speed and intelligence Japan and Brazil should be the best to learn from . the main problem of Japan is just not tall enough. but Brazil is still perfect so far..
1. its not the fact that serbia was making a lot of mistakes... yes they did make a lot but hey lost because they didnt have a leader to lift them up when they were down. grbic setting alone could've changed the outcome. miljkovic wouldnt even have to play for serbia to win. serbia is a dominating team.
2. korea's offense is WAY too slow. their sets to the outsides are ridiculously high. they need to speed up their offense... and it doesnt help that they're a shorter team than other countries
technically, this is still an upset because serbia is ranked much higher than korea, but you're right main-guy miljkovic and wonder-boy grbic aren't there. that tandem in itself would make a big difference, i reckon.
Samardzic and Geric are now bench players, though ;) But it is true that Petkovic and Starovic are as well. I still think Korea deserved to win, but I also think we played well. After all, Sasa and Vlado need a little more experience. Not saying they played badly, quite the opposite, they're better than Grbic-Miljkovic in my opinion. This is our young team, give them some time and they'll get much better :D
