  • 1.8T Jetta camshaft part 2, removing valve cover >>> do you have part 3

  • @joceromero uuhh there is no part three.... well what do u want to see in a part 3?

  • Hey, I was wondering, since I am changing the cam chain tensioner gasket...

    1. What is the tool needed and.... when you decompress the tensioner(I guess its what it is called) to where you can lift and replace the half moon and gasket..2. when compressing it back, do you keep turning clockwise and it will just pop up back to the compressed state or turn the tool opposite (counter clockwise?) thanks.

  • @ern5002

I think its called, a Cam Clamp, or timing Clamp? i found something on ebay that may be simliar. Search this or simliar. "K-D Tools 3981 4 pc. Single Cam Clamp Holder Set" I wish i would have known about this item sooner. This is the best i can do for u.

  • Great vid, thanks. I like to see a vid with replacement on a timing belt and water pump. R u going to make a vid on a timing belt and water pump on this egine soon?

    Thanks

  • @thunderdfl No i am not going to make a vid on the timing belt and water pump. those are delicate procedures, i just had the vw dealer do that for me. i paid like 1,000. (including thermostat, serpentine belt, and coolant flush) there are some things i just won't touch due to the amount of work that has to be done and once you screw up, thats end of your car. I am unqualified too to do so.

  • After you stripped one bolt, why didn't you think to stop and get the right size and a good quality tool for the job.

  • @brontoe 1.8T Jetta camshaft part 2, removing valve cover >>> do you have part 3

  • @brontoe I have a k04-02x making almost 250 at the wheels. Unitronic tuned. Technically a stock turbo...

  • Alright, thanks for fast reply.

  • @pappaal Lol ur boosting 24PSI? i hope not a stock turbo! U were right, having the DV on backwards does cause a minor boost leak. I played around with it some more. I put my DV on the right way again. The extra turbo noise only works with a the green spring backwards DV, untuned ECU....
