This is fabulous, and not what we have come to know as typical for Ms. Fleming. There are no sytlistic departures, just fabulous vocalism, and great musciality. What year?

@asdfopera With respect, I like her voice, but I do not like her in any roles and I have thought about that statement before I made it. .. her mannerisms to me, interfere with the interpretation of nearly every opera I love.. Hats off to her raw talent.. I just can't get into her choices, musically and interpretively. this is exquisite.

frankly speaking, i prefer Fleming's earlier recording especially those recording done with Solti. Miss that....

Really amazing! Her voice just floats like air but with a full sound, it's something quite incredible! Btw, the aria is "Geme la tortorella" from Mozart's La Finta Giardiniera. Why isn't she singing this anymore?
