I had to miss football practice for this at Gus Anderson field because of this. The fields (or so I heard) was underneath six inches of rain water.

This must have been a trainrain event. One storm after another. When I was in N.C. we got 10.5 inches in a trainrain event. 4 big thunderstorms one after another. Each one would grow and form in the previous spot where the first one formed. On radar it resembled smoke coming from a fire. Wouldn't be surprised if the radar loop showed somewhat the same thing for your area on this day you videoed this. Light rain if you compare it to the monsoons in India. Forecasting still tricky to this day.

Yes, that's pretty much what happened, the storms just lined up right over the city. The line was pretty narrow too. Are as just a few miles to the south of us, which usually get the worst rain, hardly got anything. We got about 7.5 inches I think. The system itself was parked over us for 5 days but this was the only really bad day.
