India & Mexico

I am delighted to inform you that Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil and I have had a highly productive meeting.

In order to consolidate the privileged partnership we established in 2007, both leaders have agreed:

I would like to point out that President Patil is traveling with large delegation of businessmen; tomorrow, she will meet her Mexican counterparts at the Mexico-India Business forum.

I told President Patil that our cooperation in educational and cultural affairs is very important. That is why we look forward to India's participation as a guest country at the Humanitas Cultural Festival, in Oaxaca.

The importance of Mexico and India on the international scene is obvious. As leaders, we have discussed the need to promote coordinated work to consolidate international institutions and organizations, the United Nations reform and that of its decision-making bodies.

I am convinced that the visit to India by the President of Mexico will provide new opportunities to further strengthen the links between both countries, for the benefit of our respective countries.

I am from Mexico, and I do love Indian culture!

To be honest Mexico and India have alot in common in terms of history and culture. if we go back to early 19th century when M.N. Roy (an Indian socialist) escaped to Mexico and livedd for a number years befriended a number of Mexican communists. This is part of the reason why Indo-mexican ties are stronger today. The others include ancient religious sites, a strong belief in religion, chili as a cooking ingredient, the cultural quality of superb cinema and the practice of customs.

I can always tell mexicans and indian apart we mexicans are brown. As for indians as in from india they have a more dirty color skin tone their facial structure is way different as well as their physical features. Mexicans are very machista our culture was forge in warfare. The spanish dogs who came to take our land, then the Americans , then after the french and then the cry for revolution.

I dont think islam would ever spread in Mexico mexican are way to superstitious and follow roman Catholicism and im sure the have a wrecking if they get Muslims trying to spread their religion.

@redrumAmystikal yeah mexicans are pretty eurocentric except we have a lot of argument with white america. There are German comunities and Italian communities in Mexico all european Mexicans. We have the 2nd largest white population in Latin America I think. The majority of mexicans are mix in with spanish, french and native indigenous. The majority of Mexican are either the brown people or white ppl very very low arab people or indians or asians. Blacks are the 3rd largest minority.

@eyeofbast are people are of all native tribes. There are Yaki Mexicans and Yaki americans how can u say that we the mexican people come from all tribes. Inevitably the native pueblo people would have been emerge into the mexican culture.
