Yes it was a shame but u have to remember most of Fawtly towers was filmed on a BBC studio set and not on location but they should have kept the manor or building and turned it into a real hotel or something.

@racefan32 Biggest pity was when hotel was demolised in the late 1990s and now in its place is a small housing developement.The council should be ashamed!!
