WD-40 is not a cutting oil and makes a very poor substitute. WD stands for "Water Displacing". The only thing WD-40 is good for is short term rust preventing, and cleaning various surfaces that don't respond well to detergents, like a drill press table. Never use that stuff to lubricate anything you'd like to keep.

@davidjohncook This isn't for your exhaust. That you can fix much easier. This is for engine threads. Oil pans, spark plugs, head bolts, etc. In comparison, it's a much cheaper and simpler solution to a very expensive and complicated problem.

@markgandalf sorry, you don't know what you're talking about, WD-40 is alright for most things, but normal oil is better in this application
