How about this, I believe the Bible is a historically accurate manuscript of the original writings. The number of manuscripts and the separation of those manuscripts from the original writing is minimal compared to other text that people believe without question. The internal and external evidence of the Bible also contribute to it's accuracy. There is much more to this, but as far as a historical document facing historical criteria, it stacks up well for being accurate and factual.

Please can anyone tell me why they believe that the Bible contains ONLY truths? I am not talking about belief in God, nor even belief in the truth of some of the Bible, but belief that ALL of the Bible is true. You may say: because it was written by God, was inspired by God, is the word of God, etc, but this merely begs the question. WHY do you believe this? You may point to this or that verse of the Bible as proof, but this assumes the very thing it purports to prove. Please then, why?

One verse taken out of context and multitudes believe that God now accepts them with all of their sins and love for worldly things? -" Oh! Surely he paid it all! I'm on my way to the pearly gates!"- We need to be reading. "He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination." (Proverbs 28:9) "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love." (John 15:10) Search the Scriptures.
