Great footage! I remember watching the Challenger tragedy in school when I was a young boy. I'm from the town next to Ms. McAauliffe's hometown of Framingham, MA. In fact, my father went to high school with her. Thanks for posting this. Ms. McAuliffe's spirit can rest now because "...Class is in session!"

I'm fairly certain that the commentator made that reference at the approximate moment of Endeavour's flight when the Challenger broke apart during its initial climb; 70-73 seconds down range, I think.

Absolutely phenomenal! I will never cease to be utterly amazed by the act of moving a craft from earth's surface out to earth's orbit! These astronauts are true human heroes!

I wonder what the weight limits are, on Sir Richard Branson's spaceship.

I hope shuttle coverage continues to inspire kids in nthe US. Over here (UK) most youngsters are unaware of it. Partly because the launches are all late at night, now. And partly because of disinterest by the news channels. In June they were going on about Paris Hilton's arrest, to the exclusion of STS-117. For me, that was a tipping point: I decided, from that time on, I'd primarily look to the Internet for my news.

I wonder if that was a reference to Christa McAuliffe who died in the Challenger disaster? Christa was going to be the first teacher in space, until that happened.
