Due to popular demand, I "dusted" off my C64 emulator and successfully completed the stage using the arrow keys to steer the dropship (no joystick!) Took me 4 tries to get it down...1987 lives!

  • The maze stage was HARD as hell, I was never able to beat it myself...the key was to have at least 5/6 of the marines left so you can blow them up to get past the stage. My friend was able to beat it (only three times as I recall) but only with Ripley or Ripley and one Marine left.

I don't have the original game or C64, I download the C64 emulator.

  • I never really played the rest of the game... similiar to your situation with your uncle. I was really good at flight simulator games back than and my friend enlisted my help to pass this stage so he can get to the other stages in order (without using the skip stage feature) so he can see the entire ending.

  • I'm calling bullshit, I don't see your hands.

  • I completed this game a dozen times. This was my fav level.

  • boring!!!

  • LOL oh FFS your response to an over alaised crappy recording is one where you are 10 miles from the fkin C64 and can here you mashing your keys *rolls eyes*

  • Oh, yeah, because the dropship has to follow a PRECISE, TWISTY path to get to a base on the surface, as opposed to the tricky business of pointing at the base and flying straight. You can't ask the computer to handle THAT. Hahahaha!

  • It was just called Aliens. And it was a sort of POV style game. I'll have to dig the cassette out from the loft and take a few piccies. Sadly i dont have the C64 anymore to get it loaded up.

  • which aliens game was that mate?

  • I still have this on Cassette for my old C64... but the UK Version of the Aliens game was much better and scarier!

  • That game was the best back then. I remember that we could never get past the Queen. One nigh we rented the video and watched it. When we got to the part of the movie where Ripley gets past the Queen by threatening the eggs, we rushed over to the C64 and booted it up! Sure enough, we got past the Queen.

Great memories. Please post more game screens if you've got them!

  • Nice dude, I could never do it with the keys. I had the old ass controller. Black with a red button. Old school, thanks for the demo. I loved the tune and I still have this game for my commodore64.
