The Lord Of The Rings The Fellowship Of The Ring
The Battle Of Amon Hen
The Departure Of Boromir
Boromir's Death

Amon Hen was constructed in the early days of Gondor, perhaps even as early as the Second Age; its other names in Westron were The Hill of Sight and the Hill of the Eye. Aragorn says that it and its counterpart hill were made "...in the days of the great kings" (The Fellowship of the Ring) but this is open to interpretation.

  • Thanks for posting these! I really needed a LOTR fix! By the way, I always laugh at 1:01 when the "dead" Uruk-Hai looks up after Aragorn jumps over him.

  • As a kid, I always hated Boromir's character and didn't care that he died because he tried to take the ring. Now, his death always gets me. He is a good person at heart and was only driven by the power of the ring to save his people. I think if we were put in that situation, we would be as vulnerable as he was. Always brings a tear to my eye when he takes his last breath.

  • 0:53 like a boss

  • three points:

    point 1. BOROMIR! :'(

point 2. Lurtz is a fucking monster.

point 3. at 3:27 did anybody else notice that uruk-hai's leg twitch next to Gimli? :P

  • 1:01

    ''Dead'' Uruk-Hai: Its cut?

Another ''dead'' Uruk-Hai: NO!! STAY DEAD!!

  • Lurtz should of lived longer he was awesome! so was boromir!

  • I never really liked Boromir, but this is still such a sad scene

  • @reshyn That destruction of the ring holds a much bigger theme than just.. Frodo's burden is tied to that of a messianic idea. He carries the burden of evil with him and is forced to take a course that will most likely destroy him for the sake of humanity and to destroy evil. Also LOTR talks is constantly showing power and corruption affecting people I believe as well as SW does. Also the theme of courage is so much stronger and inspiring in LOTR. Both our amazing though :)

  • the most touching scene in the whole film history

  • @ninjalol32 I will go ahead and correct myself before someone else does, Lotr was a story made into a movie.Star wars was not. Unless you seriously want to count the very differed novel released in 1976.

  • @xBeAsTxJaybles You can't say SW fans were force fed CGI disasters. First off, if the primary weapon of the Fellowship had been blasters and lightsabers then Lotr would of been a CGI "Disaster" as well. I love Star Wars and Lotr. Both are incredibly amazing stories made into equally impressive films that i will introduce to my children and theirs, and so on until i pass away. Lol
