I happen to know something about this whole $250,000 tax issue debate. That's almost exactly how much money I made last year in profit. Watch this video if you want an unvarnished assessment of what it's like being a small business owner who makes $250,000.

  • Thanks for comments! It just seemed like this topic is really misunderstood.

Viscountrapier... That is really interesting insight. I just make this stuff up as I go. So it's nice to have it verified by someone who actually studied the topic.

    Take care,

  • Sage, you rock. This is exactly what I thought would happen. Why hasn't the democratic party described this better (with a spreadsheet, too!) Rock on Sage, rock on!

  • Hey Sage..I fully agree with you. I have an MBA in finance and my job priority is profit. If a company B that currently employ two employees and makes a revenue of 250K a year, receive a tax cut, my first advice to them is to include that tax cut as profit. Why expand when there is no need to expand; companies do not expand because of tax cuts; they expand because of new markets. If middle class man A get a tax cut, and has more disposable income, he spends more money at company B.
