2nd gear is really long I guess. 70 mph. Or he is continually skipping 2nd.

@SoL21jeanne YEah true, when my (bluetop, 1980s) 4AGE was stock it did a 10 second 0-60, something wrong with this thing

@SoL21jeanne yeah it does seem kind of slow. my mr2 that made 112 hp was well into the 8 second range, and the 20v makes much more power...

On a stock geo prizm transmission. in 2nd gear, at 20 mph is 2000 rpm, 30 mph is 3000 rpm, 40 is 4000 rpm and so on. You can go verify this yourself on any prizm 5 speed.
so this stands to reason, 70 mph is 7000 rpm. if i could get the engine to turn 12000 rpm, i could do pretty close to 120mph in second gear.
I'll admit the 2nd gear does seem pretty long. but in this video i drive in 1st and 2nd gears. as it turns out, when i made these videos, the VVT wasn't working and its faster now.

0-60 mph 12 secs? or are u holding back? i have stock 4 age but it can got 0 to 60 mph for at least 8 to 9 secs. depending on tires and fuel octane,,,

ooh ok ima look into the axles but .. harness .. was it custom made already when u bought it ? thats whats givin me more problems? or know anything i can do for the harness

no it was a stock engine wire harness for an ae101 (trueno i think) from japan.

not lately, last race was with a 5.0 mustang. he only pulled his bumper about 1 foot ahead of mine.
