During the 4 years of the Khmer Rouge regime, from 1975 to 1979, between 1.7 and 2.5 million Cambodian died from execution, torture, starvation, overwork or untreated illnesses.
Confronting the past is an important part of challenging transition from war to peace. This film provides a reflection on that past and a visual record of the Khmer Rouge regime actions. In turn, this reflection feeds into a broader thinking on the role of remembrance, justice and accountability.
