Animation by Andrew Plaskett - Out With The Old

A tester animation using the characters for my final masters film. This is just one of my characters. The main purpose of this little film is to test my abilities at animating in 3ds Max, which I haven't used much before.

During the modelling process, I had to restart from the beginning due to a corrupted file. As a result, I had the chance to completely remake my character and improve him, leading to a much better model. The original model is the rather bulky looking one that you see in this video. This video is kind of like a baptism, a film showing me rejecting the old and embracing the new. Or something like that.

@gumgum342 Doesn't really have a meaning. I'm making a short film and this uses the first character I modelled for it, and the one that I remade because the first wasn't designed well enough. So this was just a little video I made for fun to show that I'm rejecting my old character and using my new one :p

wow this is really amazing, love the 3D animation, i feel like its a field thats become more and more popular, even though i always prefer 2D becuase of its most enjoyable history with it. Great animation *thumbs up buddy

@lessthannormal01 Thank you, it's still a work in progress obviously. I'm still learning. I normally prefer 2d too, but it's good to broaden horizons a little so I'm giving it a go
