This is the very first shot I shot with my new Canon T2i. Having already transcoded and rendered some other footage, I'm seeing what a new, more time-intensive process yields.

  • how do i import the video to my mac

  • @TheNBTshow Without transcoding, you don't. Only Sony Vegas 9 and 10 and Adobe Premiere CS5 on PC can edit the T2i's h.264 .movs natively. For anything else, you'll need to transcode using a program like Cineform's NeoScene HD ($100) or MPEGStreamClip (free, but extremely slow).

  • @ben3308 hello, i have final cut express, imovie 11 , quicktime 7 and after effects for color and Mpegstreamclip. what do u mean by extremely slow. i just want to know how to get the my video with out the dots appear and super clear. thanks (check out my series)

  • @TheNBTshow Yeah, I've never really used Macs, so I honestly have bonuses. I don't know what 'circles and clear' refers to, although I'll guess it's format issues - in which case you need to transcode the footage you shoot before editing, using a program like MPEGStreamclip for Mac. Again, though, I have a PC so I don't need to transcode, and when I have - as in this video - it was using NeoScene by Cineform, which I paid around 100 bucks for.

  • @TheNBTshow Also, I render using the Windows Media 720p template in Sony Vegas for all the videos Inupload - source files are 720p, medium-bitrate WMV files.
