Possibly a power surge, or a momentary blackout caused by who knows what. It's a big city and most of it's power probably comes from only a few sources; it wouldn't be surprising if they lost electricity for a few seconds before the generators kicked in. That, or the cleaning crew turned the lights off...

we were only there for about 2 days, best two days ever though. Such a good place, hope to return soon.
