Lets be clear. There were atrosities committed by BOTH SIDES and just because someone does not think Vietnam was a good war does not make them a commie. I personally think it was stupid, foolish and a waste of human life and national resources to get involved in Vietnam. I am 49 so I was too young to go but I remember neighbors that went. Some did not come home alive. Others did and they were never the same. I salute the soldiers but lets face it. They died for nothing.

@troytblevins The people in the South weren't design for fighting that war, they just want to do business and get rich.. but the people in the North were brainwashed into fighting a never ending war with America. Toward the very end the South army did fight it's own battle for the first time, but it was too late..

@troytblevins You know in the end.. I know he really regretted helping the North because they are a bunch of thieves, and corruptions. He could never imagine how the north took Saigon and slave the people in Vietnam like you mention above. It's a sad sad story but mistakes were made by the Vietcong. I heard many awful stories the North communist committed. If you ever been to Vietnam, u will see that the people in the south are very different than the north.

america wasnt invading north vietnam, and south vietnam wasnt invading the north,it was uncle ho and the criminals he had around him that were just evil monstersand we tryed to stop this evil,we tryed to save the vietnamese from this evil monster,but the evil north kept invading the south,peacful america just tryed to help,remember the devil looks asian, america is a peacful country.

north vietnam infiltrated the border area of cambodia, the us did not like infiltration, they invaded cambodia and changed the government of a neutral country. How can nixon think he is peacemaker?
