Idiot's Guide to MH - Khezu vs GS

I hope you guys enjoy the first of many episodes of my help series: "An Idiot's Guide to Monster Hunter".

About me and the series:

I've played this game since the original MH on the PS2, and I'm a very big fan of MHNoodles.

I'm also sick of all the video guides that don't give any help other than "use a hammer".

So I decided to make a series using weapons other than hammers to kill various monsters in the game.

It usually isnt the fastest way to kill monsters, but its usually the safest and requires the least amount of resources possible.


About this episode:

I got really lucky, so I got sloppy towards the end.

Khezu also never roared, so I never got a chance to give a strat on how to go about that scenario

Good Tips. It doesnt look like you were too comfortable with the GS just because you always get in really close with it. Im just curious, what was your favorite weapon?

@YugoRed Actually it is GS, along with Duals, SnS and HBG. I was in a car accident a few days before this video was made, so I didnt have full use of my hand at the time.

No offense, but i hate these sort of guides.

Every one can kill a khezu with full tigrex set and an awesome GS.

Use an armor and a weapon which you are able to have in jr1 and 2* village quests.

No real help otherwise. People who watch this are normally only that far, and they obviously don't have good weapons by then.

I'm glad you shared that ground breaking info almost a year after I made the video and made note that the Guide wasn't very well put together.

Fact of the matter is that either way, Khezu isnt a hard monster. Your armor doesn't matter, your weapon doesn't matter. All that matters is knowing when to and when not to attack, which this vid shows.

Hi, call me noob bu hay, i just got MFHU and im on the 2* urgent quest to kill the Khezu, and i cant do it!, im using Full Conga, minus the helm, i cant get it cause of the Vibrant Pelt, anyway, wot was your weapon, and wot do you advise i do? im not a total noob cause i got to HR5 on MHF2, :) any advice welcome and appriceated.

Well, besides Earplug armor, no one armor set has a major advantage while fighting Khezu. To fight him however, I would suggest a Greatsword, Sword and Shield or Lance/GL.

The main thing to remember in fighting him is not to focus too much on spamming combos, or you might get shocked. Get a few hits in, and get away till you find another opening.

@GiggaGMikeE Ahh, i figure something was up. Good video for sure. I had to see how to beat khezu with GS because i just made a sword draw set. I Made G-Rank my B*TCH lol.

just a good tip, when khezu's asleep i dont aim for his tail i get RIGHT in front of his head the charge then...BLAMO!!!!!!he's dead.

hmm... i didnt fine any satisfaction when using greatsword on khezu...sword/shield is that best...

@theborges4 i dunno if ya beat it now but i used full kutku armor and kutku bow and i can kill him in about 15 mins. the materials arent that hard to get and u need kutku materials for alot of things at a lower level. just power coat then when they deplete use sleep coat, barrel bomb+ and hes dead. always use charge 3 (lv 3 spread for kutku bow) and attack after he does an attack. if you DO get hit it would have probably been badluck. just my 2 cents
