Nokia 3720 classic rugged phone montage

Dropped it in a bucket with paint, still worked but can not charge it anymore. Wonder why they didn't patched that too...

This phone is much tougher than most phones out there... just don't mistreat it for fun as in the video. It is as tough as I think all mobiles should be; it will likely stand sandy/wet beaches and the occasional little drop. It is however NOT water immersible (ip54 just guarantees resistance against water flushing) and moreover the lid is the phone's Achilles heel, can dislodge on the sides by just a minor knock (=waterproofness gone until you snap it back).

The 3720 is pretty tough.. When I had one, I used it as a hackysack many times. I dropkicked it 20 metres into a brick wall once or twice. It is tough.

It did eventually weaken though, and I broke it. Look for signs of metal fatigue, particularly on the outside casing.

I wish I could find it in the red and blue colours shown here though.

I think Nokia needs to make a 3G toughphone though.. Without it, the phone is limited..
